Trusting in Jesus

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:28-39

Who Is God? (Part four)

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalms 23:1

Most of us know Psalms 23 well. Maybe some can even recite it.  But do you know what shepherds do?

Let's take a look:

A shepherd's job:

He watches over his sheep or whatever his flock happens to be.

He provides water for them.

He provides food for them.

He protects them from predators.

And if ever necessary, a shepherd would lay down him life for his sheep.

Sound familiar?

As human (parents) aren't we to do this for our own children or those children in our care?

God provides for us like that.

His name in the Bible is

God our provider

He is who we look to. To provide us with the things we need. We don't always get what we want. But He gives us what we need.
And praise God for that in this time when the world crashes around us. Everyday there is more and more bad news. It comes at alarming rates and there are some days that we cry out to God "Come quickly Lord Jesus!"

The thing is, we are not in control of when that time will happen. I don't believe it will be that long. But who knows? I believed the same thing 30 years ago. And we are still here. Waiting and watching.

However, while we wait, Jesus still sits on His throne. And....

 He is:

Jehovah-Raah

Our Shepard and Provider

Thanks for coming by today, Friends.
Have a blessed day in Jesus!

Trusting in Jesus

18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.    Proverbs 4:18-24

Hello, Friends. Just a quick note to let you know that I will continue my series on Who is God on Monday July 14. Thanks for coming by, Friends. Have a blessed day in Jesus!

Trusting in Jesus

For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Thanks for coming by today, Friends. I pray that you are having a blessing filled and peaceful day.

Who Is God? (Part three)

This may contain: the word of jesus is written on top of cinnamon sticks

18 ‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation. ’Numbers 14:18

Who was God?

Moses led the Children of Israel to the Promised Land. The Promise Land was described as flowing with mild and honey. They had been under Egypital rule for many years. Who would not want to be freed from that and led to a new land. One that flowed with milk and honey.

And yet, they complained and at one point wanted to return to the slavery that they had just been freed from.

They would confess their sins during this time and God would forgive them. But then they would go right back to complaining again.

Sometimes we do the same thing. We see God working in our lives after we have sinned and He has forgiven us.

But then we turn around sometimes doing the same thing only to become miserable again and we start complaining.

We finally ask God's forgiveness, and He forgives and then the whole thing starts over.

How many chances in life do we get? I know I have had my share. And yet, God has never let me down. He was always waiting. Always willing to forgive me.

But my time on this earth is running out. We should never take our salvation for granted because even as a young person or at any age really, our time can run out.

And I know that I do not want to be caught in sin when my time is up. So, I am always asking His forgiveness every day.

He is steadfast in love and mercy, and I am thankful for that. Because I for one have needed it. Time and time again, just like the Israelites, I have needed it.

What about your God. Who is He to you?  He loves you with all His heart. That I know.

Thanks for coming by today, Friends. God bless you and your family.

Who is God? (Part two)

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Friends, as we know we are living in a crazy mixed-up world. The Bible gives a warning in Isahia 5:20-21 about calling evil good. People that are wise in their own sight.

Do not be deceived. God created man and woman. He did not create all of these other so-called identities that people call themselves in these days.

Let me be clear. I am not against people over 18 to do what they want with their own bodies. Even though I do not agree with what they do, they have that right. But to allow and encourage young underage and impressionable children to buy into that nonsense is appalling. And disgusting in my view. It goes against every fiber of nature that God has instilled in us from the very beginning.

He created man and woman.

He said it again: Created He them.

And over time, the enemy has creeped in making a mockery of God's creation and a lot of that we are seeing today as people that post grievous stuff all over the internet.

Who is God in this, my Friends?

He is indeed a God of love: ! John 4:7

But God is much more than that as we study His word each day.

He does not want us caught up into the evil of this world by ignoring His word and doing and believing any old thing that comes along.

Satan, the liar of all lies is also the roaring lion masquerading as the angel of light, seeking whom he can devour.  2 Corinthians 11:14, 1 Peter 5:8

So, Friends, be careful of who you listen to. Check out what you hear with God's word. From anyone. Even from me. I try to stick to the scriptures in all I do. But I can make mistakes. So always check out what I am writing to make sure I am lining up with God's word.

And always check out the pastors and everyone that is teaching biblical subjects. Because there are some whose teachings don't include the whole of the Bible. There are many that are out there.

Thanks for coming today, Friends. Have a wonderful day!

Until tomorrow....
