This I Know
Poet UnknownI do not know what next may come,
Across my pilgrim way;
I do not know this next year's road,
Nor see beyond today;
But this I know, my Saviour knows
The path I can not see;
And I can trust His wounded hand
To guide and care for me.
I do not know what may be mine
Of glowing skies' or rain;
I do not know what may befall
Of pleasure or of pain;
But this I. know, my Father sends
My sunshine and my shade
And naught that comes from out His love,
Can make my soul afraid.
I do not know what may await,
Or what this next year brings,
But with a glad salute of faith
I hail its opening wings.
For this I know, that in my Lord
Shall all my need be met;
And I can trust the heart of Him(
Who has not failed me yet?

And he never will fail those that love and long for him.
Every day, the more we listen to the news, the more we can become depressed, worried, and yes, even angry at what is going on in this great country of ours.
From the rise in gas prices to the grinch that stole Christmas, they have been talking about how bad things are and worse yet, how bad they continue to get.
I don't think it is wise to not know what is going on and yet, we should not let ourselves dwell on it.
Instead, we need to be looking to the God that created us
Is all of what is going on a surprise to Him? Has He forgotten us? Is He letting us down? Grown weary of us? Given up on us as he did in Noah's day?
Of course, the answers to those questions are a resounding NO!
Oh, there will come a day when he will end his compassion for those that have rejected Him. But even in Noah's day, he saved those that followed Him. Few there were back then. And many more are there now.
That means all those are that came after Noah, that truly served and loved God. Even when they sinned. Even when they weren't perfect.
And that is you and I and countless others down through the ages and up through today. And tomorrow.
And until God truly is done with the rejection of those that want nothing to do with him, and Jesus comes back for the rest of us.
Because He will.
And no matter what happens, today, tomorrow, on Christmas morning (which is not about gifts anyway but is about the True Gift of why we celebrate it) or next year-He is not surprised, He hasn't forgotten us, He isn't letting us down, nor has He given up or grown weary of those of us that love Him.
We just have to be patient. And we have to remember: it's all in His time. Not ours. His.
He hasn't failed us yet! And He isn't going to!
Thanks for coming by today, Friends. And let me give you a bit of a piece of advice, if I may. If you are downhearted or depressed about the news today and what you are being told, take some time away from it and go to God. He is waiting for you to call upon Him because He loves you!
God Bless You!
