What is Heaven and Where is it?/ No tears... (part two)

The Bible is clear on the following:

After Jesus was raised from the dead, He went to heaven. The Bible says: "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven" (Acts 1:11). Prior to this Jesus told His disciples: "In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:2-3)

What is heaven like?

1) All things are new

"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband" (Revelation 21:1, 2).

2) No tears or pain

"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away" (Revelation 21:4).

3) Perfect peace

"'The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust [shall be] the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,' says the LORD" (Isaiah 65:25).

4) Houses and vineyards

"They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit" (Isaiah 65:21).

5) Fruitful gardens

"The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose" (Isaiah 35:1).

💘💘💘

Many of us have or are living in one type of pain or another. Or maybe some have many different kinds of pain. Physical, mental, loss-they are a symptom of a fallen world. Of sin.

But for those of us who know Jesus and have asked for His forgiveness, we can count on the day to come that He will wipe away all of it, totally.

I don't know about you, but I look forward to that day more and more the older I get.

If it is a promise of God-and it is, we can count on it.

Of course, it is not the only benefit that we can look forward to. There is so much more. And I find it hard to understand why people do not want, care or believe God's Word.

When there is so much to gain and much to avoid. (hell)

I am thankful that I have not missed the mark. I hope that you haven't either. Because if we miss the mark and don't ask Jesus to come into our lives and hearts, we will regret it one day, instead of getting to spend eternity where there is no pain or tears and anything else that God has for us that we don't even know about.

Thanks for coming today, Friends. In tomorrow's post, we will see more about what Heaven is like. Please come back and invite a friend to read along with us on this journey.

God bless!
