Take Up Your Cross and Follow Me

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23

Some of my extended family members have been having some real struggles lately. Some with co-workers. Others with members within their own family. It is easy for me to get wrapped up in their problems because I, as any mother can do, want to always believe my own family. And the case of one member, I have seen why they are in the position they are in, fighting for what is right against many wrongs.

And it is in my attitudes that I constantly have to daily take up my cross. In fact, not just daily, but hourly all day long on some days.

But what really does those words of Jesus, have to do with us today? Do we have the right to defend those we love against the unfairness of what they are going through? Even in our thoughts and or deeds?

It is certainly food for thought, and I will study on it and come back tomorrow to share what I have found.

For today, rest in the God of your salvation. No matter what you or I are going through, He is close by waiting for us to ask him to communicate with Him.

Thanks for coming by today, Friends. God be with you!
