God is with us.

This is the first and greatest truth of Christmas. God is with us. The Bible says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14). We do not work our way to God but in Christ, God comes to us. If you’ve ever felt like God is indifferent or uncaring toward you, remember the story of Christmas. Remember that God pursued you in Christ, and He continues to do so. We do not worship a distant God but rather a dwelling God – the God who makes His home among us, the God who is Immanuel, the God who is with us!

“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us’” (Matthew 1:23 NLT).Prayer: Lord, thank you for always being with me. You promise to never leave me or forsake me. When I am tempted to doubt your presence, remind me that in Christ, you came to me. In Jesus name, amen.(Credit: Hope For The Heart)

πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–

Good morning, Friends. It is hard to believe that Christmas is once again upon us. I keep asking, where has the months gone? Where has the year gone?

There are those that we should not celebrate the Pagan holiday of Christmas. I used to listen to those kind of people and their teachings.

I don't anymore because the Bible tells of his miraculous birth. They never once talked of His birth in any context though they claimed to be saved.

It's true that He was not born on December 25th. But we do not know the correct date. The Bible does not give us that information. But it tells of His birth and it is my own belief that it is not wrong to celebrate it.

Oh, it shouldn't be just about gifts and decorations and food. The most important part is His story. We all have one you know. Our own story of where we came from. How we got from there to here.

The story of Jesus has come down through the ages, to be told over and over and we never get tired of it.

At least those of us that know why He came. And how His story went from there to here. To save us from our sin.

To save those that believe on Him and confess with our mouths that He is Lord. His story went on and still does today. It is all the more important to keep it alive in the darkness of this world.

So celebrate not just with the gifts and decorations, but more importantly with the knowledge that He came to earth to save YOU.

Have a blessed day!
