....that a new year is upon us and things will certainly change for us over the next year, in some ways.
...But God's Word never changes!
Frankly Friends, I am happy for a new year.
Some things that happened this year were good.
Some not so good.
But God's Word is always good.
And so today I will make this short but give you and myself some time to meditate on a scripture that happened to find its way into my heart through an unexpected source this week. And so here it is:
And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Exodus 3:8
God came down to rescue His people from their enemies!
It was His promise to them!
And He kept it!
And isn't that what He did for us that know Him?
He wants to rescue those that we love but do not know Him, as well.
And His promise is to also give us good things.
Because He is a good God. Mark 10:18
So, as you look towards a new year, remember God's promises.
