Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord, forever, and ever. Psalm 23:6
There it is. The end of David's psalm. (This particular one anyway.) And it should be the end of ours as well. To know without a doubt that God's goodness and mercy follows us every minute of every day even on days we don't really feel it.
But not only that, the most important thing of all, is to know without a shadow of a doubt, that the end of this life, is really just the beginning for us. Because we will dwell in God's house forever.
Friends, we live in crazy, unprecedented times. And worst yet, they are unpredictable times. Every day something new happens. Something even worse than the day before.
And yet, it really isn't new. It really isn't unexpected. Oh, the circumstances are. But the fact that all this is happening, is to be expected. Because Jesus predicted it many many years ago.
But that is where our hope lies. In Jesus. No matter what is going on all around us. God said:
"Never fear, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
Jesus is coming back. It may not be today or next month. It may not be 100 years from now. (although believe me, the sooner the better as far as I am concerned.) But, he is coming. And I would ask Him: Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Come quickly. Revelation 22:20
Thanks for coming by today, Friends. Have a blessed Wednesday!
