Thou preparest a table in the presence of my enemies; thou anoints my head with oil; my cup runs over. Psalm 23:5
I believe the table spoke of here, again represents God's provision for us. Not only before we get to heaven, but after we get there.
Of course, there is no table here on earth that compares to his holy table once we have gone through the shadows of death.
What will we find at God's holy table?
I certainly cannot say, having not gotten there yet. However, I can say with surety that we will find Jesus, many other believers, and the love, protection, and compassion of our Savior.
Wow! What a day that will be.
But Jesus actually eating with us? Seriously?
Yes, it is true. Consider the following passage:
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and dine with him and he will dine with me. Revelation 3:20
As much as our brains lets us, we can imagine that day, but what it will actually be is too unimaginable for words.
In the mean time, we can look forward to dinning with Jesus. That time gets ever closer as time goes on.
But it will get here and knowing that gives us the privilege of looking forward to it.
I do. Do you?
Hello Friends. Thanks for coming by. Tomorrow, we will look at Jesus anointing our heads with oil. Have a blessed day.
