Sheep or Wolf?

I recently watched a video on YouTube about the so-called pastor Jesse Duplantis. If you are following him, you need to stop it now. His teachings will lead you where you don't want to go.

At any rate, in this particular video he asked the congregation if they want to see God. And then he whirled around in a circle as if he were showing them a new outfit he had on. And he had this look on his face that showed just what he thought of himself.

God? Absolutely not. Blasphemy?  Absolutely yes! And yet no one called him out on that spectacle that he made of himself.

Friends, it was absolutely disgusting.

It's true God has made us in His image. However, we are not God, and we should not listen to the likes of anyone like Jessi that claims to be God. How absolutely arrogant is that?!

Jesse Duplantis does not stop talking nonsense with that subject. He has a lot of that on YouTube. He is a false teacher. I can only stand watching him in short clips, so I watch the videos by Justin Peters (YouTube) who explains why what Jesse claims are from hell's pit.

If you want to see more of Jesse and other false teachers, please go to his videos (Justin Peters) on YouTube. I will guarantee if you have never researched these false teachers, you will learn a lot.

Thanks for coming by today, Friends. I want to leave you this time by something Jesus told us about the times that you and I find ourselves living in:

Beware of false prophets and teachers, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Mathew 7:15

These people want to be in our pocketbooks and worse yet, they are in our many of our churches. Satan use them to distort the truth to get what they want from us. Jessi Duplantis is good at doing that. We must know who he and others like him really are by studying God's Word and also people like Justin Peters who will help you learn through God's Word, who to watch out for so that you aren't deceived.

Have a blest evening!

How About a Nap?

Do you ever feel guilty for taking a nap? Maybe you are a fairly young mother with several children. Maybe even an infant that gets you up for a feeding through the night. Maybe you have a job thrown in on top of your growing family. Maybe you are an elderly person that just can't do what you used to do, and your trade some of your leisure time in for a nap on the couch and it's a habit now that you are older.

Maybe you feel like you are wasting your time by napping.

Well, if you do feel guilty for taking a nap for whatever reason, I have some good news for you.

Jesus took a naps.

And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:36:39

Ok so it's true-there is no record of how many naps Jesus took. But he was fully man, and fully God, thus (Hebrews 2:17-18) needing to rest when he was tired. After all, during the days that he went out preaching and healing people, there is no doubt that he needed to nap now and then.

We sometimes get weary of the happenings of our days when there is trouble going on and we just have to get some rest to deal with life. Or we who are older just can't hack the days like we used to when we were younger. But whatever the reason, a nap is our reward for getting some relief of whatever has drained our energy.

Thanks for coming by Friends. I pray you are having a blessed day.

Push the X Buzzar

Repentance or Non-repentance?:

Is it really necessary to repent, so that we may spend eternity with God?

Some false teachers would have us believe that we do not sin. Therefore, since we do not sin, repentance is not necessary. And even that since we are made in God's image, we are ourselves "little gods," and as such we do can do everything he does, including the fact that He does not sin, or need to repent, and neither do we.

Well, push the

X

buzzer

because anyone that agrees with that theology sins because it is an out and out lie right from the pit of hell.

The truth is, we do need to repent and ask God for His forgiveness.

So, let's look to God's word for what He says about this subject. The following devotion will explain it for the truth that it is.

God Does Not Save Unrepented People

When Christ prayed from the cross: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34), was He saying He forgives unrepentant people?

Let's unpack Christ's statement:
1. If a believer had killed Jesus with full knowledge of who Christ was, there could be no forgiveness (Hebrews 6:4-6).

2. But the Roman soldiers and jealous Jewish leaders didn't understand what they were doing (Acts 3:17).

3. If one of those responsible for his death later understood who Christ was, they would probably think their salvation was impossible. Perhaps that's why Christ forgave that particular sin from the cross.(1)

4. But any of those forgiven of that sin would most certainly repent of it if they later came to Christ. Repentance is a non-negotiable step in our salvation (Matthew 4:17Acts 3:19Acts 26:201 John 1:9-10).(2)

Why is it important to understand this concept? Because some people teach that this passage proves Christ forgives and saves everyone, whether they repent or not.(3)
-------------------------------
Footnotes:
(1)  It's very likely that some of the soldiers who crucified Christ later came to believe in Him (Matthew 27:54). I imagine His words from the cross assured them they could be saved. The Apostle Paul also committed violent acts against Christ before his conversion (Acts 9:1-51 Timothy 1:13).
(2)  After we become Christians, we should repent whenever we sin. However, believers need not worry that they won’t go to heaven if they die before they are able to repent of some sin because believers’ sins (past, present, and future) are completely covered by the death of Christ (Colossians 2:13-14).
(3) The popular book The Shack teaches this error. On page 225, the Shack god says, “In Jesus, I have forgiven all humans for their sins against me, but only some choose relationship.”

Who Likes to Talk About it...

 .....sin, I mean.

We would all rather talk about pleasant things. Wouldn't we?

And yet, if it wasn't important, it wouldn't be a subject that God wouldn't have wanted in His Word. And yet He did.

Yesterday I talked about our Secret Sins. But do you know that there are really no such thing as secret sins. Oh, we may hide some sins hoping no one will find them out. But consider this:

For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad. Luke 8:17

I have spent much time on YouTube watching/listening to some of these teachers and so-called pastors, that preach the prosperity message. They are really wolves in sheep clothing who preach another gospel and not the gospel of the bible. One so called preacher is Todd White. He claims since he accepted Jesus, he has not once sinned in the years since. Another one, Jessi Duplantis asked the question in one of his services, "DO YOU WANT TO SEE GOD? LOOK AT ME.: He then turned full circle to prove he was God they were looking at. ????

Friends, if he were God, I believe I would give up on any kind of Christianity. For he and Todd White (and others do it too) were giving all those people a lie right from the pit of hell. And those teachings are a part of another gospel. Instead of checking them out according to scripture, those people just follow them believing every word that comes from their mouths.

One day, when they wake up in heaven, and if they have not truly accepted Christ, they will be in for a rude awakening. Them and many more just like them. Jesus is going to say to them: "Depart from me, I never knew you." Mathew 7:23

Imagine Jesse Duplantis surprise if God has to tell him that someday. That he is not God.

The things they teach are not only sin, but they are blasphemy against God and are also putting their people in danger of going to hell. "

Sin is for sure not the most wonderful subject to think about. But it is important. And the best part is, that Jesus washes it away from us when we come to Him. Not that we won't sin again. For we live in a broken world. And in broken bodies. We come from broken families-some of us do. But we have the assurance that when we do sin, we can ask God for forgiveness, and He will.

Don't put your faith in anyone teaching a different gospel. Check out "everyone" whose teachings you follow. Even mine. Because that is how you will stay on the right side, when you make sure you aren't hearing a different gospel.

The gospel of God is His Word, and anything added or taken from it is sin. (Revelation 22:18-19)

Thanks for coming by, Friends. May God richly bless you and yours

I"ve Got A Secret...

.... A secret sin, I mean,

And frankly, who hasn't had secret sins at one time or another?  In fact, it is most likely we sin multiple times a day and don't even realize it because we don't take the time or are too busy to realize it.

However, give me an example of one person in the Bible that did not sin in any way, shape or form. You can't and I can't either.

And God knows this. After all the one that He said, was "a man after God's own heart" was King David who had an affair, and when she got pregnant, he had her husband killed so he would not have to face him.

David did face his sin though and was granted forgiveness by a Holy God who is always waiting for us to go to Him when we sin and ask forgiveness.

King David was just one example.

But there really is one person that did not ever sin, of course. And that was Jesus Christ.

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Only Jesus could not sin. He was fully God and fully man. And so, He took our sin upon Himself, so that we could be reconciled through His Father and through His blood paid our price so that we can have eternal life.

That doesn't mean we will never sin again. Don't let any of these false teachers on YouTube or in any church make you believe that. There are those that do teach such nonsense.

It just means that, once we accept Christ as our Savior, we are adopted into God's family and can receive forgiveness when we do sin. Amen, thank you Jesus!!!

Friends, I want you to know, that as you have access to my posts on this blog, you may freely use any of it, if you would like. I do not require permission. And in fact, I hope you do use and share it with those in your life, that need-to-know Jesus or you feel can benefit from it. The end times are what we are living in now and though we don't know when Jesus will come again, the time may be short. We need to get the word out to an unsaved and hurting world. And so, for this reason, I give up my rights to this material in hopes you may use it to help someone in your circle of family or friends that can use it.

Thank you for coming today. I should be here tomorrow. There is more to be said n this particular subject.  Until then, God's blessings on your life today and every day

Three homes

Did you know? I am rich!!! Rich beyond all measure!!!! I have three homes and that is something to be excited about! Let me tell you about them!

The home I live in is a modest two-bedroom, one bath home. I have a nice back yard and a patio. While it is not a luxurious home, it  is comfortable.

The flowing scripture certainly applies to this home even in my earthly home.

 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Now this home, is where we go to worship God with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Where we can learn more about him and can be with people that believe like we do.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: Ephesians 4:12

And lastly is the most exciting home of all that we as believers will one day get to experience.

.: Our citizenship, however, is in heaven, and it is from there that we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus, the Messiah.  He will change our unassuming bodies and make them like his glorious body through the power that enables him to bring everything under his authority. Philippians 3:20-21

While the photo above is just a picture of what our heavenly home may look like, it does give us hint of what that home looks like. And as we go through our days of trials and sometimes, we experience hard times, our home in heaven is an exciting and majestic place to think on. As well as this verse:

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4: 8-9

No friends, I am not rich by this world's standards. But because I accepted Jesus many years ago, I am as rich as I want to be. My home is laid up in Heaven because Jesus tells me so. (John 14:2) And that is so much better than anything this world has to offer. For I am blest beyond all measure, and I am grateful to God for what I have here, but looking ahead to my faith that will one day become my sight.

How about you? Is there a home waiting for you in God's dwelling place?

I hope and pray so.

Thanks for coming by Friends. Have a blessed rest of your day!

Happy New Year: Joshua 1:8-9

Here we are. in a brand new year. A year of what? New experiences? New additions to our family. Or perhaps a new tragedy.

Well, we hope we don't have that last one this year. But while we go through this year, we can have peace about what it may bring. Bad or good. I believe that the best way we can do that is to be in God's Word every day. Consider this:

Joshua 1:8-9 ESV
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
If we don't take the time to get into God's Word, how can we know it? God has given it to us for reasons. Do you know what they are?
They are to:
Show us the way to Him,
So that we know right from wrong
To Learn of His goodness
To Walk with Him
To teach others
These are just a few. But as our new year goes on, and if we listen to what He is saying to us through His word, then the things that happen that may not be what we want to happen but will teach us to depend on Him through those times.
Thanks for coming by, Friends. God bless you and yours

Mistakes or Just Plain Sin?

We all make mistakes. But some of our mistakes, aren't really mistakes. They are excuses for our sin. We wonder why life are isn't going as well as we like, or think that it should.

And maybe that's because we have not confessed our sin but continue to take part in it.

Mistakes can teach us lessons. Or they can lead us to places we don't want to go.

Consider the following devotion that I ran across today:

We have a problem confessing genuine sin even though it's absolutely critical to our spiritual well-being.

We reject God's grace and ruin human relationships when we ignore, excuse, underestimate, or justify our sins.

One common problem is believing we only make "understandable mistakes."

We must be able to identify and confess real sins - selfishness, anger, lust, bitterness, arrogance, idolatry, etc.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 warns against participating in the Lord's Supper without first examining ourselves:

"If we would examine ourselves first, we would not come under God's judgment. But we are judged and punished by the Lord, so that we shall not be condemned together with the world." GNT

We don't simply make "mistakes." We are sinners who should regularly examine ourselves and admit our sins honestly.

Humble repentance leads to soul refreshment (Acts 3:19).

๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—

It would do us well, to confess our sin each day. Try to live free of what we know is wrong. And ask God for forgiveness when we struggle with the things that keep us apart from Him.

Life isn't easy. But God stands ready to forgive.

If only we ask.

Thanks for coming by today friends. God bless you an yours!

Silent Night

Silent Night “Silent Night” is a favorite Christmas song for many people around the world. Its gentle melody suggests a “heavenly peace” ...
