I have to admit, Friends-I am dismayed today after the elections in this country turned out the way they did.
However, no matter what went on during these past hours, God was not surprised. He was not upset. He was not dismayed.
His plans for this country, for world and for you and me, go on. Whatever, they were before, still hold true now. No matter what you might hear from so called "Christian Prophets" that these elections were stolen or anything else that might be an excuse as to why things didn't turn out the way it was thought they would.
I listened to a sermon this morning by the late John MacArthur who said that he Allmerica that America is under the judgement of God. I tend to believe he was as right back when he preached that, as it still is today.
I also talked to one of my son's earlier this morning, and we agreed that it just seems in the past few years, the things going on in America have worsened more and more.
But what can be causing this judgement of God. In a future post, I will be discussing that very thing. So stay tuned for that.
The take away-at the end of the discussion between my son and myself, was that God is still in control and He still sits on the throne.
And to that we take comfort because sad as it is, so many people do not have that promise. But to those that love and serve Him, the Bible says that in the world we will have turbulation, but do not be discouraged, for He has already over come the world. John 16:33,
No matter what our leaders are doing, and no matter what we are or may go through, He will take care of us to the end.
Take care, Friends. If you need peace today, find it in your Bible. In prayer. He is ready to speak to you through those means. But still remember....
...America is still the greatest country there is!
