Psalm 25:7-8

Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways

according to your love remember me,
    for you, Lord, are good.

Have you ever wondered if when you get to heaven, God will remember the sins you committed when you were young?

Lets face it. It can be a very crazy time, as we go from being young and hopefully under the careful eye of our parents to a time when we want to come out of that time, to rebel and want to live our own lives the way we want to.

I was not a bad kid. I really wanted to please my parents. But if you have been with me for a fairly long time in these posts, you may remember that my mom had mental problems that affected our family greatly.

That was a time when I began to rebel and as I look back, I could have gotten into some real trouble. Like most people do, I turned from God into my own way.  (Isahia 53:6)

I would prefer that God forgot those times, because I now wonder at how...ok I am going to say it...stupid I was back then. How those times could have landed me in life...much worse off than it did.

Maybe David felt the same way. Maybe his sins were

"worse" than mine were.

But that does not matter to God. Sin is sin and no matter what we do or have done, it needs to be repented of so we can receive Jesus into our lives.

But I do pray that God has forgotten them and has removed my transgressions from the east to the west.    (Psalm 103:7)   Because I understand that there have been plenty of sin in my life.

I need his mercy and forgiveness every day and do not want him to remember those things in my past that may block His blessings in my life.

What about you? Have you asked God to forget the times you have rebelled? Past and present Have you  asked Him for his mercy and forgiveness?

He is good and He will, believe me. How do we know?

Because His Word tells us.

Thanks for coming today, Friends.

I conclude todays post, also asking:

Have you voted yet?

If not, please do so. Don't be afraid, confused, or just not interested. The future of our lives and the lives of our children and grandchildren are a stake.

We cannot let the enemies of darkness which are in high places, destroy our faith and liberty.

It is too big a risk. But through the power of God, and our right to vote, we can stop it.

God bless!!!
