Who is God (Part 28)

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace Ephesians 1:7

Its only through the shed blood of His Son Jesus, that God gives us the most important thing we will ever need. His forgiveness of our sin.

And yet there are some so called pastors whose main theme in their sermons, don't even mention that but talk about all of the blessings of God that are material and do not have the ability to get us one step beyond the gates of heaven where God resides.

And neither will false gods like Buda, Mohamad and so many others that have no power whatsoever to get them to any place but hell itself.

Jesus is our only hope when we put our trust in Him. And why is that?

Because God loves us so much that He wants all to accept him and so He sent us the way to get there, through Jesus.

Because that is....

Who God is!

Thanks for stopping by Friends.

Have a blessed day!

Who is God (Part 27)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

There have been people and even so-called pastors that have said that there are many ways to Jesus and not just one. To name just a couple, that would be Oprah Winfrey and "Pastor" Joel Osteen. Both have huge followings of people and are being led straight into eternity in hell.

Jesus said He is the way and truth and the life. Therefore, no one gets to the Father, except through Him.

It's not science fiction, Friends. It plainly stands out in His Word. It makes me wonder just how they get around their many path heresies in their minds. Maybe because they don't read their Bibles? Do they even own a Bible? Are blinded by the truth? Want to sell their many books? To satisfy all their followers? Or maybe all of these. Or even other reasons.

It's plain to see. Jesus gets right down to the point!

 Because as we know....that is...

Who God is!

Who is God (Part 26)

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. But what does that mean? Most of know the answer to that question.

Jesus left his throne in glory, to come down to be born as a baby to live with us and of course eventually grow up to save humanity from our sin. He was God's only Son.

And so, I want to add to that, please do not let any false prophet or pastor tell you that they are God's flesh and blood as some have eluded to lately.

There have been some that have said that we are "Little God's" because God created us in His image.

Yes, He did create us in His image. But that does not mean that we are His equal to Him. And yet some are teaching those ridiculous things.

False preacher Jessi Duplantis said this in his worship service one time:

"Do you want to see God?" And then he twirled around to show that when you see him, you have seen God.

What utter blasphemy!!! In fact, just watching him do that made me sick to my stomach.

God sent His Son Jesus to dwell with us here so that He could do the one and only thing that anyone could do. To die for our sin. There is no other that could perform that mandate from our Father.

I am thankful every day of my life that Jesus came to do that. Because I have the steadfast promise that one day I will spend the rest of my eternity with the One that gave me life and died for my sin.

I hope you have that promise too. Because for many people, they will perish forever in the darkness of a burning hell.

And you know what? That is so unnecessary because of what Jesus did for us. But....that is....

Who God is!

Have a blessed day, Friends

Thanks for coming by!

Who is God (Part 25)

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15

💔💔💔

Those of us that know Christ as our personal Savior, also know that there will come a day when judgement will come to the world. Both the righteous and the unrighteous will be judged. Those that know Christ, will not be judged their sin. We that have accepted Him, will be judged according to the good deeds we did while we are on earth and be rewarded for those.

However, those that have rejected Christ will be cast into the Lake of Fire with the devil and his cohorts.

Those that belong to God, will have their name written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

For those that rejected God,

woe be to them.

Their names are not written in that book.

And they will end up going to that place that is a place of torment and fire.

There will be no way to get to God now.

I think about that.

My friends.

My family members.

People I have known.

People that I never knew.

And it breaks my heart

that they won't spend

eternity,

in the place

that would have been

prepared for them

had they accepted Christ

instead of rejecting Him.

Thanks for coming today, Friends.

This is a post that is a bit dark.

But it is the truth according to scripture. And it needs to be said again, and again and again.

Because the time gets shorter with every day

that passes.

God's judgement is fair.

And that is....

who God is.

God Bless you and your family.

Who is God (Part 24)

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Hebrews 12:6-8

💕💕💕

No one likes to be disciplined.

We think that God should be kind and loving and perhaps even grandfatherly, if you will.

But why then does he choose to do the opposite at times?

I found this article that will explain it much better than I can.

Please read on:

Does God punish us when we si

For believers in Jesus, all our sin—past, present, and future—has already been judged on the cross. As Christians, we will never be condemned for our sin. That was done once for all: “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). Because of the sacrifice of Christ, God sees only the righteousness of Christ when He looks at us. Our sin has been nailed to the cross with Jesus, and we will never be “punished” for it, in the sense of being condemned. At the same time, God does discipline His children when they err, as any good father would. So, it could be said that Christians are “punished” for sin, but only in the sense of being lovingly disciplined. The remainder of this article will refer to “discipline” to avoid the suggestion that Christians receive “punishment” (condemnation) from God for their sin.

If we continue to act in sinful ways and we do not repent and turn from that sin, God brings His divine discipline to bear upon us. If He did not, He would not be a loving and concerned Father. Just as we discipline our own children for their welfare, so does our heavenly Father lovingly correct His children for their benefit. Hebrews 12:7-11 tells us, "As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Whoever heard of a child who was never disciplined? If God doesn’t discipline you as He does all of His children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really His child after all. Since we respect our earthly fathers who disciplined us, should we not all the more cheerfully submit to the discipline of our heavenly Father and live forever? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for a few years, doing the best they knew how. But God’s discipline is always right and good for us because it means we will share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it is painful! But afterward there will be a quiet harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.”

Discipline, then, is how God lovingly turns His children from rebellion to obedience. Through discipline our eyes are opened more clearly to God’s perspective on our lives. As King David stated in Psalm 32, discipline causes us to confess and repent of sin we have not yet dealt with. In this way discipline is cleansing. It is also a growth catalyst. The more we know about God, the more we know about His desires for our lives. Discipline presents us with the opportunity to learn and to conform ourselves to the image of Christ (Romans 12:1-2). Discipline is a good thing!

We need to remember that sin is a constant in our lives while we are yet on this earth (Romans 3:1023). Therefore, we not only have to deal with God’s discipline for our disobedience, but we also have to deal with the natural consequences resulting from sin. If a believer steals something, God will forgive him and cleanse him from the sin of theft, restoring fellowship between Himself and the repentant thief. However, the societal consequences of theft can be severe, resulting in fines or even incarceration. These are natural consequences of sin and must be endured. But God works even through those consequences to increase our faith and glorify Himself.

(See got questions.org)

My own thoughts on this subject: We can see all around us the children who are not disciplined. Discipline seems to have gone the way of the old inventions of yesteryear that are no longer in use because they have been improved upon. Sadly, that is not the case with these children that are allowed to act up in school and the teachers are not even allowed to correct them when they do. As long as they continue this path, they may go on to become destructive in relationships and other areas of their lives. They can become selfish and entitled.

God doesn't want his children to become that type of person. He wants us to grow and learn His ways that are so much better for us. It can be painful. Sometimes we have to pay the consequences for the sin that we have decided to indulge in. But it is always for our benefit that He doesn't just let us get away with it.  And because He loves us, because.....

that is who God is!

God Bless You!

Who is God (Part 23)

44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44

How do we know when Jesus is drawing someone?

Whenever someone speaks to another person who has not been born again, Jesus is drawing him to come.

Whenever the gospel is preached in a church that gives a salvation message, Jesus is drawing unbelievers to come to Him.

If the gospel is preached on a tv or radio program, and an invitation is given to accept Christ, He is drawing the unbeliever to ask Jesus into their hearts.

My dad led me to Jesus as an 8-year-old girl one evening, after church, in the car before we went into our home. Jesus was drawing me that night and I accepted him.

These are ways we come to understand that Jesus is drawing us to repentance.

The sad thing about it is all those that hear His call and refuse to accept Him as Lord and Savior. One day when He comes back, every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Phillipians 2:10   Romans 14:11

But those that have not accepted Him prior to that great event, will regret not doing so. Because it will be too late for them.

2 Corinthians 6:2 Now is the accepted time of Salvation

Time is running out my friends. We believe that the coming of Jesus is very near. And until then, what about our own mortality? Will we even make it to that time before we pass on? I don't know. But I do know because God's Word tells me, that we need to make that decision to repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior-now. And not to leave it to chance. Because the chance could lead us to where we do not want to go.

Who is God (Part 22)

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14

God did not create us just to leave us all alone, unable to do His will. Nor to flouder in sin or walk in darkness and on our way to our own demise.

No, He gave us Jesus, who took it upon himself, to have the ablility to be forgiven if we choose.

To walk in freedom.

And to one day obtain the same blessing that Abrahm enjoys now as he is in the presence of Jesus Himself.

Because....

that is who God is.

Thanks for coming by today Friends.

Blessings to you and yours!

Who is God (part 21)

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will Ephesians 1:11

God does everything according to His will. People can name it, claim it, blab it and grab it like Kennth Copeland tells his congregation, but things only come to pass as God ordains. That is why "ministries" like Copelands are not of God. They get rich off poor people as well as any they can con, because people hope to get rich like them. Friends, those people get nothing in return. But false hope, lies and eventually hell.

Don't fall for these false teachers. They aren't for you. They are for themselves.

Believe God. Because He does love you and His path leads us from darkness into His light.

Because....that is who God is!

Who is God (part 20)

But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. Psalm 130:4

We know that God will judge us when we have passed on to His presence. We know that those that are still unrepentant at that time, will be judged for their sin.

But for us that have repented, God has forgiven and we do not have to face the kind of judgement that we would have otherwise.

That is the greatest gift of all. Because it is the difference in where we will spend eternity.

I don't know about you, but I look forward to that time with great anticipation. With all the evil going on in our world, it is sad that so many are going to miss it (spending eternity with Jesus) because they have rebelled against what God has done for us.

I hope that is not you or your loved ones. I often weep for those in my family that unless they repent, they will miss the wonderful things that Jesus is preparing for us now.

Yes, God is a God of forgiveness. Because that is who God is!

Who Is God (Part 19)

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. Psalm 5:5-6

We know that God loves us. There are so many passages in the Bible that tell us so. However, He hates evil. And...

He will judge. their sin.

For the believers, he will judge

not their sin, but their works.

His judgement will be fair and

righteous.

Because that is who God is.

God bless!

Who is God (part 18)

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Romans 5:17

One man sinned. That man was Adam. Someone had to take his place so that all that would believe and come to God, it took more than mortal man can still not even fathom.

Jesus Christ gave up His throne in heaven to become fully human and yet remain fully God that would allow himself to be hung on a cross to cover our sin that we could never possibly do ourselves.

It was God's grace that makes it all possible. And it makes me often wonder where would I be if it were not for His grace and sending His Son to die for me. And you as well.

Grace...

That is who God is

Who is God (part 17)

15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” 16 So then it depends not on human will or exertion,[b] but on God, who has mercy.  Romans 9:15-16

Our God is a God of mercy.

I thought I would take these verses a bit further today.

And so, I went to gotqurstions.org to understand why this is important for us to know today. Here is their answer:

What does God mean when He says, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy” ? (Exodus 33:19)

Answer:

After the Israelites sinned against God by worshipping the golden calf, the Lord was ready to send them to the Promised Land on their own without Him (Exodus 33:3). But Moses interceded for the people (Exodus 33:12–17). During his private meeting with Yahweh, Moses asked God for assurances, one being, “Please, let me see Your glory” (Exodus 33:18, CSB). God answered, saying, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion” (Exodus 33:19).

Ever the faithful mediator, Moses asked God not to destroy the Israelites but to stay with His people to lead them to the Promised Land. God agreed to live among them and come down to them in glory in His tabernacle. The Lord promised Moses, “I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name” (Exodus 33:17, NLT).

Moses, who had already received glimpses of God’s glory at the burning bush (Exodus 3:1–22), on the mountaintop (Exodus 24:15–18), and at the tent of meeting (Exodus 33:12–23), asked to see more. He wanted a greater revelation of God’s glory. The Lord’s answer was part yes and part no. God was willing to show all of His divine goodness to Moses. He was pleased to call out His sacred name, Yahweh, before Moses. And He was ready to reveal His sovereign mercy and compassion to Moses. God would show as much of Himself as Moses was able to bear, but there were limits. If Moses were to see a complete revelation of God’s glory, it would be so overwhelming that it would destroy him (Exodus 33:20).

By not fully answering Moses’ request, God was in actuality exhibiting mercy and compassion toward Moses. When He said to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy” in Exodus 33:19, the Lord meant that He shows mercy freely to anyone He chooses. The New Living Translation renders the meaning of the verse more explicitly: “I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.”

Demonstrating mercy is one way God reveals His glory. The word mercy in Exodus 33:19 means “kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.” When God said, “I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy,” He meant that He would show kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to anyone He chooses.

God’s mercy—His wondrous compassion—leads Him to forgive sinners and withhold the punishment that is justly deserved. After the Lord graciously led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt, through the Red Sea, and toward the Promised Land, they responded by revolting against God. Yet, because of the favor obtained through their mediator, Moses, God was pleased to lavish His mercy on them.

Exodus 33:19 is quoted in the New Testament by the apostle Paul in reference to the sovereignty of God: “For God said to Moses, ‘I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose’” (Romans 9:15, NLT). Paul meant that God’s freedom is absolute. It is essential to understand that, before God, humans have no rights or privileges. We have no claim of our own to God’s mercy. That is why the concept and outworking of mercy are so crucial for sinners.

“I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy” means God’s freedom to demonstrate mercy is not limited by anything but His own divine choice. God does not show mercy because humans deserve it. The Lord’s favor cannot be earned by status, social class, or works of righteousness—otherwise, it would not be mercy.

The Lord said He had mercy on Israel because He was pleased with their mediator, the prophet Moses: “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you” (Exodus 33:17). God chose to extend the grace, favor, and love that He had for Moses to the children of Israel. The people were spared, by divine choice, through the merits of Moses, their mediator. This act was a foreshadowing of our basis of salvation in Christ.

Humans cannot be saved based on their own efforts (Ephesians 2:8–9). The Bible says we are too sinful to merit salvation (Isaiah 64:6Romans 3:1023Psalm 143:2). Our salvation hinges on the pleasure God takes in our Mediator—the person of Jesus Christ, God’s Son and our Savior (Hebrews 9:15Galatians 2:16). Since God is pleased with Jesus (Matthew 3:1717:5), He is pleased with anyone who trusts in Him for salvation. Jesus is our Mediator, accomplishing for us what Moses did for Israel, only in perfection. (gotquestions.org)

💖💖💖

God's mercy also extends farther on that for Moses' time.

And not only then, but for Noah.

And all that have trusted Him.

It came on down through the ages to the death of His Son on the cross.

And it continues to today.

And it will continue

even until the end of time.

For those of us that give our lives to Him.

His mercy extends further than any thing

that you and I can possibly understand.

Because that is who God is!

Thanks for coming by today, Friends.

I apologize for the past few days that I was unable to post.

It's been a hard week.

I hope you will pray for me as because I am aging,

life is getting a bit harder.

And thank you for continuing to come,

even when I don't post anything new.

God Bless!
