4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. Psalm 130:4
We know that God will judge us when we have passed on to His presence. We know that those that are still unrepentant at that time, will be judged for their sin.
But for us that have repented, God has forgiven and we do not have to face the kind of judgement that we would have otherwise.
That is the greatest gift of all. Because it is the difference in where we will spend eternity.
I don't know about you, but I look forward to that time with great anticipation. With all the evil going on in our world, it is sad that so many are going to miss it (spending eternity with Jesus) because they have rebelled against what God has done for us.
I hope that is not you or your loved ones. I often weep for those in my family that unless they repent, they will miss the wonderful things that Jesus is preparing for us now.
Yes, God is a God of forgiveness. Because that is who God is!
