No More Tears, death, Sorrow, Crying or Pain

For by grace you are saved through faith; not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any one can brag. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10

My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly will I rather rejoice in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in persecutions, for Christ's sake: for when I am weak then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or sorrow. nor crying, nor any more pain, for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4

Hello, Friends. Think of it. One day God is going to wipe away every tear, death, every sorrow we have. We won't cry, or be in any kind of pain anymore. In your situation today, can you even imagine that? It is sometimes hard to even fathom. But God said it and it is a promise to those that have been saved by his grace because it is a gift of God. Who would not want that kind of a gift?

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Heavenly Tour

God has blessed me

Heavenly Tour

21 Nov 2004

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed.
"How is it that? There's no work going on here?" I asked.
"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. "Just say, Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
"If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."

     Also ......
"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.
"If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death, you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.
"If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare.
If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you are unique to all those in doubt and despair."
If you can read this page, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Ok, what now? How can I start?

Jesus Calms Our Storms of Life if We Call on Him!

When Jesus entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And there arose a great tempest in the sea, so much so that the ship was covered with waves; but he was asleep. And his disciples went to him, and woke him saying, Lord, save us before we perish. And he said unto them, "Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?" Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea: and there was a great calm. But the men were amazed and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him." Mathew 8:23-27

Yesterday's Trivia Question: Genesis 12:2

What did God's promise to Abraham for going to Canaan?

He promised Abraham that he would bless him and make him a great nation.

Today's Trivia Question: Genesis 24:2-4

Abraham sent his servant out to find something. What was it the servant was to find?

Hello, Friends. Do you ever feel like your life is like a storm brewing and you need someone to save you before you perish? The disciples that followed Jesus had felt fear so real that day, that they thought the winds and the waves of the sea were going to destroy them. But, they knew what to do. They went to their Master for his help. We sometimes, maybe often in our lives go through some kind of storm or other. What do we do? Do we go to a palm reader? Ask a ouija board? Pray to some god that can't possibly help us? I hope not, because there is only one that can get us to God. And that is Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5) And God is who we want to help us in our own storms of life. Any other way is false and will only lead us away from God and into trouble and eventually into destruction. So when you need an answer to the stormy seas in your life, call on the God that can and will calm them. He is the only way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6)  Have a blessed day!

3 Truths About Jesus ~ I AM the Way ~ Jesus is the one and only way to enter the kingdom of heaven, as Acts 4:12 says, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” I don’t care if that’s politically correct or not because it is correct, and that’s all that matters. Fiery Trials

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you; but rejoice, inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you will be glad also with exceedingly joy. If you be reproached, for the name of Christ's sufferings; happy are you; for the spirit and the glory of God rested upon you: on their part he is spoken evil of, but on your part he is glorified. 1 Peter 4:12-14

God's Plan Isn't Always Our Way

Hello, Friends. I apologize for not posting a story for yesterday. So I am going to do that for today. I pray that as you read this one, you will find hope in an amazing God.

Anyone who has suffered asks God why and where were You? And how each person wrestles with these questions and answers them is different. Below is one woman’s journey to discover God’s answers for her.

For much of my life, I was furious at God. During my childhood, I had been sexually and physically abused for 10 years by close family members. For two of those years, I was locked up in my bedroom and deprived of basic necessities and outside human contact. I lived in an emotional and spiritual darkness that hardened my heart. I believed that a good God would not allow such atrocities in my life.

For me to move forward and out of my anger, I had to ask God some very tough questions: Where was He when I was being abused? Why didn’t He stop the abuse? Is He good? I have asked these questions for many years. God didn’t give me quick, easy answers to these questions; instead, He has allowed me to struggle with them while I sought to know Him better. God is too big for me to understand, but He has given me some truths that have given me hope and courage as I have faced these uncertainties. I want to share those truths with you so you can also have hope.

As I was pleading to God for answers, I felt a nudge to read Genesis 1:2. I felt it was a very unusual passage to read considering the questions I was asking God. “Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”

That scripture spoke to me in a way that took me by surprise. In the darkness and emptiness, God formed the earth. What spoke to me was that, even in darkness, God is present and will accomplish His work. Was He possibly using the darkness of my past to form and make a beautiful creation within me? If God can form the earth in darkness, surely He can do a work in me! The rest of the verse says that His spirit was hovering over the waters. I know God was hovering over me in the dark times, and I believe He was weeping alongside me. He was the one who provided me with the hope to survive. Hope was not something I could have manufactured myself.

God also led me to Psalm 139:7, 8, 11, 12: “Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths you are there. … If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me, even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day for darkness is as light to you.’

These Scriptures brought me life; they helped transform my view of God.

There is absolutely no place I can be that God is not also there. God showed me that He was there even in the void of the darkness, the emptiness of despair, waiting to create something beautiful with something so evil. He was never absent, only hidden from my sight at the time. He knew what I had to endure to become the vessel He wanted to create. He could have stopped it, but, in His sovereignty, He knew that His plan for my growth was more valuable than anything I could have hoped for. His glory is the ultimate reason for this. Because of His hands on me, forming me, I now bear His fingerprints and I have been given the autograph of His goodness.

I believe God hates sin but that He allowed it to change me, to form me into His vessel. I feel God loves me too much to allow me to live an easy life.

I don’t believe God wanted these evil things to happen to me. I don’t believe He caused it to happen, but I do believe He allowed it, and He was there with me never closing His eyes. He sees evil and uses it to further His purposes.

Do I now believe God is good? Yes, absolutely.

Do I like the way He works? Not all the time.

Would I change the way He did His miracle in my life? No, because I see His way was perfect.

If your story has the same themes of pain as Ginger’s, we grieve with you. Sexual abuse is one of the deepest wounds a woman can experience. We hope and pray that the God of comfort will show you His love as you seek Him.

Our Sufferings do not Compare with the Glory that we will Recieve

For I reckon the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us.  Romans 8:18

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?  But if we hope that which we do not see, then do we are patient as we wait for it. (vs. 24-25)

Yesterday's Trivia Question:Job 1:20-22

Did Job curse God? No.

What was Job's reaction to all that had been happening to him?

He fell down on the ground and worshiped God. He knew that he came into this world with nothing and would leave with nothing and that God gives and God takes away. And he blessed God. But he did not sin.

Today's Trivia Question: Job 42:10

What did God give to Job after he had lost everything but didn't sin or curse God?

Hello Friends. God allowed Job to lose everything he had and yet he didn't sin because of it. What if we lost something that is very valuable to us? Would we curse God? Maybe you have lost something like that. Did you raise your hand heaven ward to rant and rave at the injustice of it? Many people have. It is hard not to sometimes. But for those that trust in him, he is not offended. Nor is he surprised. When we ask for his forgiveness, he freely gives it. Have a blessed day!

The Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth into the darkness and the darkness comprehend it not. John 1:1-5

Yesterday's Trivia Question: Job 1:1-22

Why did Job lose everything he owed?

In a nutshell, Satan had wanted to kill Job because he was a righteous man that loved God. However, the only thing Gd allowed the devil to do, was put painful boils on him and destroy all he owned. The devil was sure that he would curse God.

Today's Trivia Question: Job 1:20-22
Did Job curse God? What was his reaction to all that had happened to him?

Hello, Friends. God had allowed the devil to take everything he had except his life. What would our reaction be if God allowed us to lose everything? There have been times in my life, that I felt that God had let things happen to me that were similar to his experience. Of course, it wasn't true. I just felt like it was at the time. How about you? What would your reaction be? Would you curse God, or praise him?  We never know what we might do given those same kind of circumstances. But hopefully, we wouldn't curse God, because he knows why things happen the way they do. The way he lets them. And he promises that all things work together for our good when we love him. (Romans 8:28)  Have a blessed day!

We All Have a Story

every one has their story

Everyone has a story. Some stories are sad, some are angry, Some are hate filled. Some are more tragic than others. Some are a combination of several. And then there are those that are the ones that may start out in some negative way, but end up in lives, where God turns their stories into....well let this story encourage you. It comes from the Our Daily Bread Devotions, entitled: GRACE, GRACE, GOD'S GRACE.

GRACE, GRACE, GOD'S GRACE

"Grace, grace, God's grace...grace that is greater than all our sin." is a part of the refrain from the song, Grace Greater Than Our Sin, by Don Moen. That lyric is a byline for my life. Even when I was still in my sin. (Romans 5:8) He chose me and saved me. (Eph. 1:4-5) I was fearless as a child, so my first brush with death came at around two. I was running like the wind down a steep hill of a cemetery while my parents put flowers on nearby graves.Tripping on the trunk of a small tree, reeling out of control, I landed hard and was later diagnosed with a broken femur. Next, at age four I ventured into the river, while my dad swam across the river, he looked back to see my long brown hair floating on top of the water.  I climbed on roofs, jumped off high places, and ended up covered head to toe with poison oak after one summer adventure. Those were innocent times. At eleven my sixteen-year-old brother died in a sudden vehicle accident colliding with a train. The police reported the news to me. (I looked older than my years) His death was followed by my grandmother's sudden death from cancer and my 48 year old uncle's death from a heart attack, leaving my six cousins all under the age of 18 to figure out life without a provider or protector. I decided at a young age that if I was going to die young I might as well make the "best" of it while I could. Was it a conscious decision? I do not believe it was, but when added to my fearless nature, the combination lit a fire of rebellion that last the next thirteen years. From age 12 to 25, may of my choices were foolish and dangerous. I came to near death again from Toxic Shock, surviving a 107 degree fever and other awful and painful symptoms. After 30 days of recovery, I got out of my house for the first time, only to be rear-ended by another vehicle, the force was so powerful it bent the metal frame of my 1968 Mustang. While my daily life was colorful and full of friends, family and school activities, my nights and weekends were often filled with edgy, darker activities. I went to college with the help of my parents and student loans. I continued my sinful decisions and what had now become defiance toward God, I met a young man who knew God, but was not walking with Him. He tried to tell me about God and the devil, but his life was total hypocrisy to me which was the only loophole I needed to push God even further away. Fast forward four years. I was living in another town and working at a small vitamin store, barely getting by. My coworkers were a witch (she said she was a white witch, the "good kind"), a prostitute, and a Christian (although I did not know she was a Christian at the time). The Christian woman was kind and hard working. She had a peace about her that I was attracted to and needed desperately in my life. Finally, among the strange environment (we were having breakfast at night). I asked the woman, "Do you go to church or something?" She replied, "Yes, would you like to go with me sometime?"  I was in such a hopeless place and knew the only thing I hadn't tried was God, so why not? Much happened in between, even a miracle that to this day I can't explain, except that it was God. But after going to church with her less than a year, she asked me if I wanted to pray to have Jesus come into my life and by then I knew He really was the only way, the only truth and the only life.(John 14:6) After years of looking in the rear view mirror, to see if my decisions would either literally or figuratively catch up with me, I felt freedom from my past, God's grace, His unmerited undeserved favor had caught up with me instead. I no longer look back, but rather forward to what God has in store for my future as His child, saved only by grace.
,

" Gods grace, unmerited, undeserved favor..." that is what God's grace does for all that come to him, no matter what the sins are that have kept them in darkness for many years. That is what it has done for you and me. Do you see yourself anywhere in this story?Because chances are, you are there whether you know it or not. You can get God's grace right now.  At the end of the post now I will have the prayer that you can pray to get his wonderful grace. It is simple and a free gift to all that ask him for it. I hope that you will take him up on it right now if you haven't already! God Bless your Lord's Day!

A daily prayer for God’s grace and mercy. Pray for God’s grace over your weaknesses, asking his forgiveness for your sins. Ask for God’s help to walk in his way.

Hello, Friends. Is it really possible to cast down our own wicked imaginations or thoughts that are not Christlike.Yes, it is. Not always easy when things are difficult. However, Isaiah 26:3 says that God keeps us in perfect peace when our mind stays on him. When satan tries to make us doubt the word of God, we must cast those things away and keep those things of God in our minds so that when evil temptations try to crowd him out, giving us no peace at all we can have God's peace. I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, to the Jew first and then to the Gentile also. For there in is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: for it is written, the just shall live by faith. Romans 1:16-17.

What does Alpha and Omega mean?

Hello Friends. The Apostle Paul admittedly tried to kill off the Christian church in his day. That is until he met Jesus one day and his life was redeemed. But upon giving his life for the gospel, he paid an heavy price for his conversion to Christianity. It was he that wrote in Romans 1:16 that he was not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. May we never be ashamed as well as we live our life everyday to the glory of God. Have a blessed day!

An empty chair sat beside his bed. The minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit. "I guess you were expecting me, Bob,." He said. "No, I wasn't expecting you." said Bob. "Who are you?" "I am the new minister at your church" he replied. "When I saw the empty chair, I assumed that you knew that I was going to show up." "Oh yeah, the chair," said the bedridden man."Would you mind closing the door." Puzzled, Pastor James closed the door.  "I have never told this to anyone, not even my daughter." said the man."But all my life, I have never known how to pray. At church I used to hear the pastor talk about prayer, but it always went right over my head. I abandoned any attempt at prayer," the old man continued, "until one day about four years ago, my best friend said to me,'Bob, prayer is just a simple matter of having a conversation with Jesus..' 'Here is what I suggest. Sit down in a chair, place an empty chair in front of you, and in faith see Jesus in front of you on the chair. It's not spooky because he promised, 'I 'll be with you always'  Then just speak to him and listen in the way you are doing with me the same way.'m' So I tried it and liked it so much that I do it a couple hours every day. I'm careful though. If my daughter saw me talking to an empty chair, she'd either have a nervous breakdown or send me off to the funny farm."  James was deeply moved by the story and encouraged the old guy to continue on his journey. Then he prayed with Bob. anointed him with oil and returned to the church. Two days later the daughter called to tell the pastor that her daddy had died that afternoon. "Did he die in peace?" he asked. "Yes, when I left the house about two 0'clock, he called me over to his bedside, he told me he loved me, and kissed me on the cheek. When I got back from the store, an hour later, I found him dead. But there was something strange about his death. Apparently just before he died,  he leaned over and rested his head on the chair beside the bed. What do you make of that?" Pastor James wiped a tear from his eye and said, "I wish we could all go like that."

We live by faith, not by sight.  2 Corinthians 5:7

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) - For we walk by faith, not by sight.
Hello Friends Since posting someone's faith story last week, I though I will do one every Lord's Day. This story can be found on the following link, if you care to read some other stores of faith. Go to:

Living by Faith Not by Sight

I hope this story lifts your own faith. For Jesus said, that if we have the faith as small as a grain of mustard seed, we can move the mountains in our lives. Nothing is impossible to us. Mathew 17:20

I will be back with my usual post tomorrow, and until then, may your Lord's day be blessed by Jesus our King!

Call Upon the Lord!

I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my pleadings. Because he has inclined my ear unto me, therefore will I call unto him as long as I live. The sorrows of death encompassed me and the pains of hell got upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then I called upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.  Gracious is the Lord, and righteous, yeah our God is merciful. Psalms 116:1-5

Yesterday's Trivia Question: Revelation 21:1

The Bible says that one day the heavens and earth as we know it,will pass away. What will happen then.

There will be a new heaven and earth.

Today's Trivia Question  Revelation 21:2

Who said that heaven and earth was going to pass away
and there would be a new one to take their place? And how did he know it?

Have you ever pleaded with God for mercy? He will always answer in his own time. Until he does, we can choose to be in peace about whatever it is that we are pleading with hi about. That's not always easy, but if we wait patiently, he will answer us. Because he is gracious. Thanks for coming today, friends. Until next time.....

Whatever You Do, Do It As Too The Lord

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord, rather than men. Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom your serve. For he that does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong that he has done, and there is no respect of persons. Colossians 3:23-25

Yesterday's Trivia Question: 1 Kings 3:16-23

Two women came to King Solomon. They had each had a baby during the same night. But one of the babies had died and so the mother of that one switched her baby for the live child and claimed it was her own. The mother of the live child knew that the dead one was not hers. So they took the live child to King Solomon to decide who the child should belong to. How did he decide who the child's mother was?

Solomon had a sword brought to him. He told them to divide the child in two and each could have half of it. The real mother then asked him not to slay it but to give the child to the other mother. The king then knew who the baby belonged to and had it given to the one that did not want it slain.

Today's Trivia Question: Revelation 21: 1

The bible says that one day heaven and earth as we know it will pass away. What will happen then?

Hi Friends. King Solomon knew how to handle the situation between the two mothers and the baby that had lived. Oh that we would have that kind of wisdom in the decisions that judges make everyday. God had said that there would be no greater king than he. However, many judges and far too many I would add, do not have any kind of wisdom as they decide their cases. That is why, we need to pray for them, that God will work in them to make the right decisions on the issues that land on their desks everyday. Thanks for coming, and have a blessed Friday.

Grace Much More Abounds!

For as by one man's  (Adam)disobedience many were made sinners, so by  the obedience of one (Jesus) shall many will be made righteous. Furthermore,  the law entered that sin might abound. But where sin abounded, grace much more abounded. Romans 5:19-20

Yesterday's Trivia Question:

God did give Solomon what he asked for. (wisdom) But what else did God give him? 1 Kings  3:13-14

Because God was pleased with what Solomon had asked for, he also gave him riches and honor that no king before or after would ever receive. And if he walked in God's commandments, he would also give him a long life.

Fear Not, For I Am With You

Fear not for I am with you: be not dismayed: for I am your God. I will strengthen you; yes I will help you, yes I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Behold, all they that were angered against you, shall be ashamed and confused; they shall be as nothing, and they that fight against you will perish.  Isaiah 41:10-11

Last Trivia Question:

God told him that he could have anything he asked for, but why did King Solomon ask for wisdom instead of material riches? 1 Kings 3:5-9

Solomon had seen by his father David's example as king, that God had blessed him because of his faithfulness to God. (David) However, Solomon felt he didn't have the ability to govern the people as his father had done. And so, that is why he asked God for wisdom instead of material riches.
