I read an article a few days ago, published by Clarence L Haynes Jr, who writes for Crosswalk which is a Christian online magazine. And the subject was titled, "Should Christians Be Vaccinated?
It was a very good article about whether Christians should be vaccinated against the Covid 19 viruses that have taken hold in the last a couple of years.
He gives both sides of the debate and uses Romans 14:1-4 as his biblical answer to those that choose to be vaccinated.
Him that is weak in ta the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
I have to be honest, I did not and will not be vaccinated. And in fact, have never been vaccinated for any virus that has come before. I just believe God that he will not let those viruses invade my body. And this thing about the government mandating that everyone should be vaccinated? Well, that is another story. And it goes against the Constitution of the United States. Against our human rights.
Having said that I go along with what Mr. Haynes used in Romans. Because in that next verse, it says this:
One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. (verse 5)
It would be easy for me to sit in judgment of those that are fully persuaded they should have or need the vaccines. However....
I have a relative that came down from another part of the state to visit with us during the holidays. And it was very clear that she is afraid of getting the virus even though she has had the shots and the booster. And for good reason. She spent several weeks at the beginning of 2021 fighting to stay alive having come down with it.
And I don't blame her because she is 71, and has asthma along with some other health concerns.
She certainly has a right to her concerns even though she is a Christian and I could put her down for not having enough faith. However, I am not that kind of person. Because it is not for me to judge her. Or anyone else that chooses to be vaccinated.
Only God has that right. And one other statement he had in this article is that it is not a sin to be vaccinated. Nor is it a sin not to. Either way, it is not going to keep us out of heaven. Nor is going to make God love us any less.
That is certainly not who God is, at all.
One problem that I have with mandates for covid, is that if we allow the government to keep taking our rights away, without our standing up to them and say "NO!," what will happen when the time comes that we will be "mandated" to take the number 666 in our bodies to be able to buy and sell things? We will do so at our own detriment because that is what the Bible tells us. And that is a judgement that comes from Him.
But this isn't the end times and it isn't happening now. Right?
Wrong. Although we might not quite be in end times, employees in Europe have been getting implants. Go here to read about it:
Employees In Europe Getting Implanted With Microchips
This may not be going on in the U.S. right now. But the possibility for it is sure there. How many animals do you know that have chips implanted in to them? We adopted our dogs from the Humane Society, and they came with chips.
I am not trying to scare anyone. Or tell anyone they are wrong for getting the immunization shots or the boosters. I am just saying, that for me, I just am not going to do it. It is my individual right not to. Like it is for everyone. Which ever side people are on. Some people feel they need them. Others don't. But it doesn't matter in the site of God.
Because He doesn't make us choose. Not this time around, anyway.
Thanks for coming, Friends. Have a Blessed New Year!
