18 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6 But whoso shall offend Itone of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
It really seems to me that child abuse has been on the rise in the last year or so more than I have ever seen it. Or maybe its because I have paid more attention. Innocent little children being starved to death by their own parents let alone by people that aren't related to them.
Children being sold into sex trafficking is horrible abuse. And even children being targeted by some of their own school teachers for sexual abuse.
That doesn't even include woman that have abortions and don't even give their children a chance for life.
None of this is new. It has gone on from the earlier years of this world when parents sacrificed their children to their "gods"
And yet, it just seems to be getting more worse every day.
We wonder how long -after Jesus stated the above scripture to his disciples-will God continue to let this happen?
We don't know. There are many babies and children in heaven, that we know.
At the same time, there are many adults that are doing these kinds of things, are headed straight for a place of their own torment, unless and until they Repent.
As for the rest of us that have repented of sin, we must have the faith of those children to be deemed the greatest in God's Kingdom.
I would not want to stand on the side of those that Jesus said would be better off to have a millstone hung around my neck and thrown into the sea.
I am not perfect. There is no one on earth that are. But thank God, He has given us through Jesus, the option to be adopted into His family. (Ephesians 1:5)
I pray that for you and your loved ones as well.
Thanks for coming by today, Friends. It has been crazy for me in the past few days. With my pc and its problems, my SIL in a car accident (He is doing ok and will be fine although he is still in the hospital) and my family coming and going at times) it just has been busy. Thank you if you have been praying for me.
Hopefully, I am back again. God bless you for your patience. It means so much to me. Have a wonderful day!
