Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world given but the peace that I give. Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
In Luke 21:9, Jesus had warned his disciples about impending wars and rumors of wars:
But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
Jesus was telling them that there will be wars and they will hear rumors of them. But not yet. And he, of course, was right. The first recorded war in the Bible can be found in Genesis 14 and they have continued throughout history and will end only with the Battle of Armageddon when Christ returns to earth. That war can be found in Revelation 20.
It's message for us today is a warning of what is to come. Only those that have accepted Jesus into their lives will escape it and go home to be with the Lord. We must be ready. We do not know when it will come. Time is running out.
Whether this election turns one way or another with the elected president for the next four years, remains only with God. But the good news as we live in our troubled times for however long that does remain, is that no matter what, for those that name the REAL name of Jesus Christ, and have his truth in our hearts, it doesn't matter who is president. We hope and pray that the right man for the job is elected. But if he isn't, we can stand firm with Jesus until he comes again! But we must be ready?
How about you?
Are you ready?
Have a very blessed day. Thanks so much for coming!
