I Corinthians 2:9-14

1 CORINTHIANS 2:9

Have you ever wondered why are there are people that refuse to believe in the things of God? I Corinthians 2:9-14 explains why this is so. Read on:

However, it is written"What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no mind has conceived"-the things God has prepared for those that love him-these are things that God that are revealed by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things even the deep things of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

We know that there are many people that consider the things of God to be foolish or not even true. Some do not believe in God. Others believe in many gods.

For those unwilling to accept God's grace, through the forgiveness of his sin which was purchased on the cross by his Son, Jesus Christ-the same will never understand the things that God has taught and given those that have.

The second that we do accept Christ as our Savior, God's Spirit opens up our understanding so that we can understand. There are things that we will never understand on this side of heaven but the time will come, when those of us that love God, will understand the things that we never could while here on earth.

And for those that didn't believe in this life? They will. Eventually. And for them it will be too late.

God bless your day!
