Jesus, the Name Above All Names

Jesus Cristo by fabianoMillani on deviantART ~ hyper-realistic oil painting {this image from Jesus of Nazareth mini-series c.1977, portrayed by Robert Powell}

He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is the Bright and Morning Star,
Wonderful, the Good Shepherd, He is Counselor and Healer, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is the Bread of Life and the Living Water.  He is Almighty God. He is the Most High God and the Messiah. He is the Lion of Judah and The Great I AM. He is Immanuel and Jehovah. He is God! He is the Soon and Coming King! And his name is Jesus.

These are just a few of the many names of Jesus. And he is all those things to us who believe. He is coming back to take us home with him. Do you know him and are you ready?

Today's bible verse:
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Thought for the day:

Your life as a Christian should make non-believers question their disbelief in God.

That is all for today Friends. I am glad you came by. Come back tommorrow
for another nugget from God's Word. Til then.....

Look at that fancy cup of coffee in your hand. Look at that shiny, air-conditioned car you get to drive. Look at the safety you have been blessed with. Look at how easy it is for you to buy your daily groceries. You have places to go, you can choose to get food, because you "feel like it." You have family that is always there. You have never faced abuse or death. You don't have any serious, dissociative psychological issues. Be grateful. Before it's too late.

... have a blessed day and bless someone else!

The Word of God Stands on its Own Merit: Romans 6 (part 2)

Read chapter 6 again for today: Paul made it clear that we as believers are not slaves to our sin. Granted, sometimes we struggle against it...
