God's Role in the Trinity (Part 1 of 6 on the Trinity)

<>

What have been and are some of the roles that God has in the Trinity?

  1. God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
  2. He created man and woman. Genesis 1:27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
  3. He gave Moses the 10 Commandment. Exodus 20:1-16 20 And God spake all these words, saying,

  • I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
  • Thou shall have no other god before me.
  • Thou shat not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
  • Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
  •  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
  •  Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
  •  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  • Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
  •  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
  •  For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
  •  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth the
  •  Thou shalt not kill.
  •  Thou shalt not commit adultery.15 Thou shalt not steal.
  •  Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.
  • 17.Thou shall not steal.
4.God loved gave us and gave us Jesus. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

5.He is faithful and calls us into fellowship with Jesus. I Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
6.He has redeemed us and calls us by name: Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

7.When we are going through hard times things, he protects us. Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

8.He wants all men to be saved. 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

9. God is faithful when we are tempted. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

10. God is the beginning and the end. Revelation 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

While this is not an exhaustive account of who God is, it does give us a look into his personality and his love for us. I hope you will come back tomorrow for part 2 of this study.6

Todays cartoon: (But get the end of it)

the oldest computer traced back to adam and eve. Surprise ! Surprise! It was an Apple. But with extremely limited memory. Just 1 byte. Then everything crashed.

Note: Actually, we don't know what kind of fruit it was they ate. The bible does not really say and the apple has just sort of been dubbed in there. However, the truth is, just like it says-after they bit into it, everything did CRASH!

Thanks again for coming by. Come back tomorrow on part 2 of the roles God has and does play in the Trinity. Have a wonderful day and God bless!
