There are some days we need to just get quiet before the Lord, open up His word and let Him speak to us.
It is all over the tv you know. The Democrat convention going on in Chicago is being pounded on the tv and all over the internet, with what is happening over there. And it is not good, my Friends. No, it is evil.
I am just glad I am not there in the midst of it. But you know, it may indeed at some point come to a city near us.
And we could be thrust into the same kind of evil that we are seeing there.
Their party is not a real party you know. It promises nothing but lies for us here in our homeland, the USA, as they want to rob us of all that we have been given. Not only through our constitution but more importantly, by God.
Therefore, we need to go quietly before our Lord and listen as He prepares us for what may come in the evil days ahead. Because there are things that we can do in the meantime.
We can pray for what is going on. The leaders of this country need our prayers. Not just those whose side we are on. But those the side of who we are not on.
And we must talk about the issues we believe God would have us vote on to our friends and family.
And in November, we must do our part in voting for those that come closest to our values. And more so, which come closest to God's values.
Neither side is perfect because man is not perfect. We all want we want, and we are all selfish. I ask you to look not to the personalities that you don't like but look instead to the ones whose polices are clear and steadfast and closest to what God's precepts are built on in His Word.
There are more things we can do to prepare for this election year, to get the message we want out. But always it should be God first, country second when it comes to those things that we promote.
Thank you for coming today, Friends. May God bless you and our country. For now, we are free, (although we are losing our freedoms) but who is to say how long that will last. (before they are all gone from us) I apologize if this seems to be a downer today for you. But with what is going on, it is so very important, and I my heart is heavy for our country.
