David is still being pursued by his enemies and wants God to deliver him from them. He prays for God's guidance because he truly wants to do His will.
This should be our prayer as well.
Every step we take in this life should be guided by our heavenly Father.
Wanting to do His will.
No matter where He takes us.
Because when we do,
we will not be disappointed.
