Through the eyes of Luke 23
As they led Jesus away, Simon, a Cyrenian was coming out of the country. They laid the cross that Jesus had been carrying on him. A great company of people followed. Women were among them, bewailing and lamenting Jesus turned to them and told them not to weep for him.. But to weep for themselves and their children. The days were coming in which it would be said, "Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bare. They will say to the mountains, Fall on us. and to the hills, Cover us. For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
Two other malefactors were led with Jesus to be put to death.
When they come to the place called Calvary, they crucified him along with the two malefactors, lne on his right and one on his left. Jesus had said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." They parted his raiment and cast lots.
People standing there, rulers and soldiers mocked him, They said he had saved others, let him save himself if he is the Christ, the chosen of God. The soldiers offered him vinegar to drink. A superscription was written over him in letters of Greek, Latin and Hebrew that said, This is the King of the Jews.
One of the malefactors said to him, "If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us." But the other one answered him saying, "Dost not thy fear God, seeing thou are in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this man hath done nothing remiss.
And then he said to Jesus, "Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." And Jesus said, "Verily, I say unto thee, Today thou shall be with me in paradise."
About the sixth hour, darkness came over the land until the nineth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil in the temple was rent in two.
And when Jesus cried with a loud voice, , he said, "Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit, and then he gave up the ghost.
Thanks for stopping by today, Friends. I hope you are blessed by God's word! Have a wonderful day and take care!
