Heaven Has Eveything to Do with It-Animals in Heaven? (part 3)

Jesus's return on a white horse | JESUS: In contrast, Jesus Christ Himself is coming on a white horse to ...
                           Are there animals in heaven?
Good question for those of us who have contemplated it.
The bible has a clear answer to that question. There are scriptures that support it.

At Creation itself, God created all things. And as we know, he created animals of all kinds.  The first mention of animals is in Genisis 1:20 where he created every moving creature from birds that fly to fish in the sea.

That being said, it only stands to reason that since he gave them to us to enjoy, why would he not have them in heaven as well for us to enjoy there. At least in my way of thinking, that is.

Revelations 6:2 describes Jesus riding a white horse when he comes back to defeat satan. There are other scriptures in Revelations that speaks of horses that are other colors also.

Isaiah 11:6-7 speaks of wolves, lambs, leopards, calves, and lions that children will lead in heaven.

For some of us pet lovers, we want to know if our own personal pets. after they die will be there when we get there ourselves.

I myself have had many pets from the time I was 8 years old. And with each one's death, have grieved as if they were a part of me. In December 2014, after having rescued our little Chihuahua Archie in 2010, he got sick and wouldn't eat. After spending about $900 on trying to find what was wrong, he passed in January 2015. I had spoken with my sister-in-law after that and told her what we had been through with him and the subject got on to whether or not our pets go to heaven. She had no strong feelings about it even though her hopes were that her pets that had passed on were there. But she had asked what we all have heard, "They say that pets have no souls so how can they be there?" My answer was this, "Yes, but they have a spirit, where does it go?"

I don't know where that statement came from. It was not something I had ever thought of before and it came quickly after her question. It made me think that just perhaps our Archie as well as all of those before, was in heaven waiting for us. And it gave me a hope because he had been such a part of us.

The bible is not clear on that subject of pets. God has his reason for it. Maybe because we would dwell on that and forget the more important things that he wants us to know. Maybe giving us more hope than what we should about our going there. We do not know the mind of God. He knows what is best for us. What we do know, as that those of us that have accepted him, will one second after we take our last breath, will be in a city that is pure gold, made for us that love him, and it will be like nothing we ever imagined before on earth. We will see Jesus and the angels there. We will see our loved ones. And maybe.....just maybe we will get to see our beloved pets again that we loved so much here. I don't know, but I can hope. Can you?

Want to know more about heaven. Come back tomorrow, as there is more to come. in the meantime have a wonderful Lord's Day Friends!

Don't worry. Be happy! God Loves YOU!
