Names of God/Yahweh/part four

Yahweh is His Name, because He said it was: again and again in scripture.Yahweh means "The Lord" or "Lord God" and is used in 6800 times in the bible. God is sovereign, strong and good. Its root means "self-existing" or one who never came into being. And one who will always be.

Have you ever seen a bush that is on fire but it wasn't burning up? No? Well, me neither. But in Exodus 3:2, Moses did and it no doubt got is attention, this burning bush that was suddenly talking to him. As it turned out it was an angel of the Lord that had appeared to him out of the bush.

Exodus 3:14 – 100% JesusBut then as the scripture goes, God, himself called out to Moses. His people had been slaves to the Egyptians for years and had suffered under their control. God heard their cries and prayers and told Moses he wanted him to go and tell Pharoah to let them go. Moses wasn't so certain that Pharoah would let them go just because he asked them to. But God tells him that he will be with him. But then maybe the children of Israel would not believe him. So he asks God, "When the children of Israel ask me who sent me, who shall I say and what is your name." God replied, "Tell them I Am that I Am has sent me. Tell them the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob has sent me to you. This is my name forever and my memorial for all generations."

Our Lord God is "self-existing" even though it may hard for us to contemplate. But even if so, that does not make it not true. God has always been here and maybe someday in the next life, we will get to know the how's and why's of his existence. Until then, we need to just have faith that he is and was and will always be. Because he is "The Lord our God, Yahweh." Exodus 3:2-15  "I am Yahweh that is my name." Isaiah 42:8

Why did no one ever summoned Yahweh, the God of the Old Testament, also known as the Christian God? Description from archive.4plebs.org. I searched for this on bing.com/images

March 1, 2019 Promise: Hear My son and accept my sayings. And the years of your life will be many. Proverbs 4:10

Hello Friends. Thanks for coming today. Here we start a new month in this new year. Wow! Time seems to already be getting away from me. How about you? Thankfully though, spring isn't far off. The promise for today is specially picked for this day because today is my husband's 72 birthday! And while 72 years seems like a long life, did you know that people in bible days lived much, much longer. Ummm. Maybe someday I will look it up and give you some facts about it if I can. Anyway, I have a couple of surprises for him that he has absolutely no idea about...so don't tell him...lol. And with today being his birthday, I decided to do something new in this blog. On the first day of each month, I will be sending a birthday wish at the end of the blog, for everyone celebrating their birthday. In the meantime have an awesome and very blessed day!

On your special day, I wish you all that you desire. May God bless you with love and care. Enjoy every moment, every day of your life. Happy Birthday.
